Anti-Aging Treatment: Watch the Twins

We all love our Minnesota Twins. Young and old, we've seen all ages at the stadium or wearing Twins jerseys proudly wherever they go.

It affects one woman's life in a more unusual and humorous way. At the college I attend, there is a proffesor, elderly with a "nice retired husband" in her words. However, she is one of the great Minnesotans because of her love for her home team.

The first day of class, she crept in and introduced herself. Essentially the first thing she said after her name is that she loves the Twins. In fact, she said our papers would be graded based on how the Twins did the previous evening. Although she said this in jest, I admired her for allowing the Twins to impact her life at such an age. She wasn't immobally elderly, but kind of like a cool grandma. She acted very young and hip, and I'm sure her love of the Twins helps her feel that way. Following a team avidly and passionately is a great medicine I believe. Closely following a baseball team can give you just one more reason to love life.

Still now, at the end of the semester, she talks about her love of the Twins. Each week she brings up the game, good or bad, and really how we do does affect her. You can see it in her facial expressions, body movements, and the tone of her voice. She wears her Twins jersey to class with her knitted sweater on top of it.

The Twins really do seem to keep her feeling young.
